Had breakfast here this morning. Walked in by myself for a quick bite at 9.40am. Ordered at the counter with Kate straight away took a seat at a table. No one approached me for water. In fact had to ask twice for some. After waiting 30mins for my omelette I questioned where my breakfast was to be told there was a one hour wait. This was never mentioned to me when I ordered. Then waited for another hour. The food when it did arrive was fantastic but no apologies were offered and no one bothered to check I was even happy with my meal. Needless to say my quick breakfast took two and half hours.
Very busy vibe, they ran out of my favourite beer but it was back by the nights end. I got rare steak when I ordered medium rare, but it was a good steak, the cooked bit anyway. They shouted me a beer when I mentioned it.
Nice location but that's all. They took a long time to prepare meals (1hour 35mins).You pay as you order over the counter so very hard to get up and leave. Recommend you ask for estimated wait time.Definitely not your first option if hungry.Seems like it's might be well suited for drinks only.
The best little casual restaurant in Rockhampton. GREAT COFFEE, good music sits right over the riverbank. The food is great, the drinks are better and this is one cafe restaurant I will miss leaving Rockhampton. Definitely worth the stop in.
Nice spot on the Fitzroy. Good menu. Good service. I thought the music was a little bit too loud for 10am in the morning making it difficult to chat so we chose a table closer to the street which is closer to the entrance to the loos...which is not the Boathouse's fault.
