Very unhelpfull people. So disappointing.
No virgin lounge but such friendly staff at security checks..
Typical regional airport except is HORRIBLE for people coming to Rocky for a work day trip. The "Cafe" kitchen always closes at about 5.00pm. So if you are on the 7.00pm flight out, forget trying to get a decent feed. Prices, even for an airport are a bit pricey but would be happy to pay that little more if you could actually have dinner at a dinner timing.

Small easy to navigate airport, with a few food and souvenir shops. I had time to kill before my flight so walked around outside to catch a last ray of golden Queensland sunshine before heading home. After a while I located the small elevated viewing platforms to the south which provided a vantage point to see aircraft take-offs and landings complete with engine roar. Taxi rank was empty on the day of my arrival. Rather than press the freecall button, I decided to walk to town guided by my mobile phone navigation app which took about 50 minutes and gave me exercise, sunlight and fresh air after travelling most of the day.
